A.J. Ross, President
A.J. served as Senior Vice President, PMO, for the past year, working as the driving
force in defining, analyzing, guiding, aligning and tracking our priority corporate
initiatives. Prior to assuming that role, he was CFO for the Home & Family Group,
at which time he played a key role in creating and implementing our group strategy.
He worked as Goody’s CFO prior to joining the Group and, before that, he worked
in various positions at several business units, including Calphalon and Anchor Hocking
Glass.
Prior to joining Newell Rubbermaid, A.J. worked at Ernst & Young in the Audit department.
He received his B.S. in Business Administration from the Citadel and earned an MBA
from Capital University.
Kim Hoelting, Vice President of Marketing
Before joining the Beauty and Style Group, Kim graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Economics and an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College. Kim began her career in consumer packaged goods companies, Procter and Gamble and Johnson and Johnson. For the past 15 years, Kim has focused on building brands within the Beauty industry at L’Oreal, Frederic Fekkai and, most recently, at Victoria’s Secret Beauty.
Joining Goody in 2008, Kim manages the marketing, new product and communications efforts for the Goody, Ace and Solano brands. Kim lives in Atlanta with her husband, Marc, and their two children, Matthew and Charlotte.
Natalie Poteran, Chief Financial Officer
Before joining Goody®, Natalie graduated with a BS in Accounting from Quinnipiac University, a small private university in Connecticut. From there, her career started with the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Since then she has held financial positions of increasing responsibility with companies such as Cigna Healthcare, United Technologies and W.R. Grace. She joined Newell Rubbermaid in 2001 as a Financial Manager in the Corporate Business Planning & Analysis department, moving on to the Baby & Parenting Essentials GBU as their Sales Controller. Most recently was promoted back to corporate where she held the position of Vice President, Corporate Business Planning & Analysis.
Joining Goody®, in 2008, Natalie plans and forecasts both strategically and operationally. She lives in Atlanta with her husband, Michael and their adorable chocolate lab, Timber.
Ric Kern, Vice President of Sales
Before joining Goody®, Ric graduated with a Marketing degree from Marshall
University. He began his career at Black & Decker where he helped to launch the
DeWalt brand and held various sales and marketing roles over his 15 years there.
While at Goody, Ric leads the Global Sales team initiatives with a focus
on growing Goody's strategic customer base by developing alternative channels and
expanding international markets. He joined Newell Rubbermaid in 2001 as the Divisional
President for the Lowes group, where he more than doubled the business in four years.
His Carpe Diem philosophy will play a huge part in building Goody's future as the
world's premiere hair care company.
Dave Smith, Director of Operations
Before joining Goody®, Dave grew up in Saratoga Springs, New York. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY earning a degree in Industrial and Management Engineering with a minor in Economics. He started his career with Accurate Bushing Company in Garwood, NJ. He then spent 7 years with The Timken Company in Gaffney, SC. He then became an entrepreneur, owning his own small business and working in insurance sales. He joined Goody in August, 1998 as a supervisor at the manufacturing plant.
While at Goody®, Dave has held the roles of Sr. Planner, Planning Supervisor, Production and Inventory Control manager, Purchasing and Inventory Control manager. At Group level was Director of Sourcing for Home & Family Group in Hong Kong, then Director of Operations and currently is the Vice President of Operations. He lives Atlanta and is married to Kelley and has two daughters, Alex (10) and Casey (8).
Andréa Carter, Vice President Human Resources
Before joining Goody®, Andréa started her career at Aramark Uniform Services. She then continued on at Fortune 100 and 500 companies such as Babies R Us, Circuit City and Home Depot.
She joined Newell Rubbermaid in 2007 as VP of Human Resources for Amerock. Now, Andréa focuses her efforts on the acquisition, development and retention of the Beauty and Style Global Business Unit world-class talent as the Vice President Human Resources in the corporate offices.
Stephen Wood, Marketing & Operations Manager; Canada
Stephen has been a part of the Goody® family for almost 30 years. He joined Goody
Canada in September 1978 as a territory salesperson and progressed through sales,
marketing and operations positions before becoming the Marketing and Operations
Manager for all of Canada. In the 20 years Stephen has spent in this role, he has
leveraged his specialized knowledge of the Canadian marketplace to meet the unique
needs of the consumers and retailers with respect to products, packaging and distribution.
Under his leadership, Goody Canada has grown to become the leading hair accessories,
styling products and personal essentials company in the country.
